DAVE SOUNDTRACK PRODUCTION - LESSON 7/10/13


WHAT IS A SOUND ENVELOPE ?
- It is the way a sound changes overtime . 

WHAT DO ADSR STAND FOR ?
- Attack : How quickly the sound reaches full volume after it is activated.
-Decay : How quickly the sound drops to sustain level.
-Sustain : The CONSANT volume that the sound takes after Decay until the note is released
-Release:

GIVE EXAMPLES OF SOUND WTH-
LONG ATTACKS: Reviving of car (sound gets longer overtime ).
SHORT ATTACKS:Stepping on a dry leaf or Gun Shot
LONG SUSTAIN:Triangle instrument
SHORT SUSTAIN:Drum

EXAMPLES :

Long Attack - Horror Films
Short Attacks: Horror Films
Long Sustains: Romance
Short Sustain:Horror film
