The interviews I have analysed is of the Jon Snow Interview with Vitaly Milonov on homosexuality in Russia and the Ed Milliband interview on strikes within Britain. Both interviews possess similar attributes whereby the interviewer must uphold an authoritative and dominant position in the discussion. Both interviews also possess flaws that I have noticed and will be analysing.
The interview of Vitaly Milonov by Jon Snow is often sidetracked whereby the interviewee, Vitaly Milonov discusses irrelevant topics and makes points unrelated to the topic at hand - homophobia and the homosexuality views within Russia. Within the interview, it is noticed that there are numerous interruptions as well as both persons talking over each other. Jon Snow fails to control the entire interview, possibly because he only makes a few attempts at doing so, thus the interview lacks control,clarity and point on Vitaly Milonovs behalf, which inturn makes Jon Snows efforts futile.
